Fancy all the excitement, breathlessness and pure joy of going round the track at competition speeds, without having to get behind the wheel yourself? Then this is the experience for you! You'll be instructed during a short briefing, before being driven for your life two laps around Donington Park, at immense speed by a qualified motor racing instructor. The car will be an impressive race-ready Lotus Elise and the drive takes place on Donington Park's grand prix loop which has a flexible configuration with extensive run-off areas, which means the driver can fully exploit the vehicle's potential. Availability: Selected Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, plus very occasional weekend dates. Dates fill very quickly, please book several weeks in advance. Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Your two lap ride will last for approximately six minutes. Please arrive up to 25 minutes in advance of your booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: It'll just be you and the driver in the car. There might be other vehicles on the track at the same time - if you are lucky your driver will show you some awesome overtaking. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and there are cafe/clubhouse facilities on site. Get them to bring a camera. Please note that animals are not allowed at the circuit, with the exception of guide dogs. Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved top and trainers or flat-soled shoes. A helmet will be provided but you're welcome to bring your own if you have one. Guidelines: Exit the M1 at junction 23a or junction 24 and follow the signs for East Midlands Airport (A453). Drive past the traffic lights at the main airport entrance and follow the brown tourist signs for Donington Park. On entering Donington Park follow the brown tourist signs for 'pits and paddocks' and make your way to the Paddock Suite in the main paddock area through the security gate. Restrictions: Maximum weight 20 stone. Minimum height 5'3'', maximum 6'6''. There are no formal age restrictions but under 18s must get their indemnity form signed by a parent or guardian.
