Activity Superstore Product Information
Take part in this fantastic Western Adventure Day, as you learn about the western-style of riding and help to prepare the horses for a day trailing the New Forest. On this experience you'll be riding in a Western saddle. Western saddles are mainly used for western riding, for working horses throughout the United States and they're the choice of saddle for cowboys. They are designed to provide security and comfort for all riders on long journeys, especially over rugged terrain. Your working day starts at 9am with a coffee, a bacon sarny and an introduction by the Trail Leaders. The first task of the day is grooming and getting to know your horse. You'll be shown how to fit headcollars and how to 'lead' and 'rack up' on the yard. Finish by tacking up your horse before stopping for a quick coffee break. After coffee it's time to mosey down to one of the arenas for a western riding lesson, where you'll be taught the basics of western-style. Lunchtime is for horses and riders alike, so after ensuring that your mount has hay and water, it's time to sit down to a sizzling 'Chicken and Steak' BBQ lunch. After lunch set off to ride into the wide blue yonder on a Western Trail into the new Forest. Beginners are welcome on all western rides since only gentle paces are used. The trail takes you across the plains where you will ride amongst the free roaming wild forest ponies, foals and cattle, and then on into several of the forest enclosures where, with a bit of luck, you may catch a glimpse of the Forest Deer or one of the other inhabitants of the woods. Finally the day winds up back at the ranch where the horses need untacking and a good rub down before hay and feeds. That done, you get the chance to sit down with plenty of hot coffee and a doughnut or you can help turn the horses back out into their fields for a good roll and a play before they settle down to munch the grass.

The minimum age is 12 years. The maximum weight is 95kg (15 stone). This activity is suitable for beginners as well as seasoned riders. It is not suitable for pregnant women. If you are disabled you will need to have a medical certificate. Clients sign a registration certificate. You will be asked to fill in a registration and acceptance form on the day.

From mid June to mid July Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays are available. Please be aware that dates often get booked several weeks in advance. Weather: Duration: Lasts for 90 minutes, to record one song. Come well-rehearsed to ensure that valuable studio time isn't wasted on practise and re-takes. Please don't arrive more than five minutes early as a previous session may still be running. Numbers On Day: The studio time is held on a one-to-one basis with an experienced recording engineer. Spectators: Up to two spectators are welcome, minimum age 8 (any minors must be accompanied by an adult). Cameras, camcorders or other video equipment can all help capture the experience. Dress Code: Guidelines: From M6 northbound exit j19 onto A56 then at j8, join M56 (becomes A5103 Princes Park Way). Turn right at A57 onto Mancunian Way. At third exit, right onto Downing Street. Alternatively, exit Piccadilly Station via Fairfield St exit (by taxi rank) and walk onto London Rd (avoid left turn onto Fairfield St). Pass Telecoms House on left and ring road flyover, where London Rd becomes Downing St. Ina Centre is on left, on corner with Charlton Place. Restrictions: Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Up to two people are welcome to take part, singing solos or duets. The building is new and is fully wheelchair accessible, wheelchair users are very welcome. Other Info: The studio will call you one week before the session to discuss your song. They have a wide variety of backing tracks but be aware that some songs are not available.
