Improve golfing handicap with this day of golf conducted by a PGA professional at the alluring Marriott Hanbury Manor Hotel and Country Club in Hertfordshire. Reap the benefits of intensive coaching from an experienced PGA professional and brush up on all aspects of the game such as swing technique, bunker play and putting. In addition to an intensive lesson (one in the morning, one in the afternoon), receive a full performance analysis with the aid of video playback. Following the coaching and analysis, put theory into practice on Hanbury Manor's Par 72 championship golf course. Your experience includes one night accommodation in a double or twin room at one of a selection of country club hotels, all of which are renowned for their warm welcome, luxurious atmosphere and idyllic location. Also included are breakfast, dinner (Marriott St Pierre have a £25 per person allowance), and - of course - a round of golf. Most of the country clubs have a championship golf course, and some have played host to top golfing events. Bring your own clubs if you have them or prehire them from the hotel (this costs between £15 to £35, depending on venue). Don't worry if one of you doesn't play golf: the golfer can play two rounds, and the non-golfer can do some serious relaxing back at the hotel.

With two impressive 18-hole courses, the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club is a great place to improve golf skills. Spend the day immersed in the game under the expert tuition of a seasoned PGA pro - brushing up on skills such as swing technique, bunker play, chipping and putting, in addition to receiving a performance analysis (either by the use of video or the specialised swing training system, Explanar). The afternoon is devoted to putting newfound skills into golfing practice - head out onto one of Forest of Arden's notable courses to play some holes under the guidance of the pro. Also, receive access to an email based golf helpline for three months following the experience. Lunch is included.
