Unlike a conventional supercar, this single-seater sees you strapped into the open cockpit with legs stretched out into the nose of the car, steering wheel in front nd gearstick on the right. Inches off the ground, feel every bump and undulation and fight hard not to oversteer this super-responsive car. After a coffee, head out to the Donington Park circuit with a qualified instructor who'll give a full briefing on the safe driving techniques required for the single-seater (faster than any road-going Ferrari). Get strapped into the lowdown Formula Ford, driving solo for 13 miles. The experience will end with a debrief.

Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: You'll be at the circuit for around two hours, including a safety briefing, tuition, driving time and a debrief. Please arrive up to 25 minutes in advance of your booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There will be other pupils in Formula Fords on track at the same time as you. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and there are cafe/clubhouse facilities on site. Get them to bring a camera. Please note that animals are not allowed at the circuit, with the exception of guide dogs. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (e.g. jeans and sweatshirt) and wear trainers or flat-soled shoes. A helmet will be provided or you can bring your own if you have one. Guidelines: Exit the M1 at junction 23a or junction 24 and follow the signs for East Midlands Airport (A453). Drive past the traffic lights at the main airport entrance and follow the brown tourist signs for Donington Park. On entering Donington Park follow the brown tourist signs for 'pits and paddocks' and make your way to the Paddock Suite in the main paddock area through the security gate. Restrictions: Minimum age is 18. Maximum weight is 18 stone. Minimum height is 5'2'', maximum 6'4''. You must have held a full British or international manual driving licence for at least 12 months which you must bring with you on the day in order to participate. Using a combination of hands on inter actives, audiovisual presentations and living exhibits The Deep tells the story of the worlds oceans on a journey from the beginning of time through to the present day. One of the most infamous motor racing circuits in the country, adrenaline will be pumping, by careering around a circuit that has played host to some of the finest technicians of supercars on the planet. After a safety briefing and theory session with a dedicated driving instructor, drive in a sports saloon around Donington's race track to get familiarised with the iconic circuit before hopping into the driver's seat of a Lotus Elise. After nine exhilarating miles in the Lotus, return to the paddock smiling.

Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for around an hour and a half, including a briefing and ten minutes driving the Lotus Elise. Please arrive up to 25 minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. Spectators: Spectators are welcome and there are cafe/clubhouse facilities on site. Please note that animals are not allowed at the circuit, with the exception of guide dogs. Dress Code: Dress comfortably (e.g. jeans and sweatshirt), avoiding nylon clothing and wear trainers or flat-soled shoes. A helmet will be provided. Guidelines: Exit the M1 at junction 23a or junction 24 and follow the signs for East Midlands Airport (A453). Drive past the traffic lights at the main airport entrance and follow the brown tourist signs for Donington Park. On entering Donington Park follow the brown tourist signs for 'pits and paddocks' and make your way to the Paddock Suite in the main paddock area through the security gate. Restrictions: Min age 18, max weight 18 stone. Minimum height is 5'0'', maximum 6'4''. A full British or international manual driving licence held for at least 12 months must be produced on the day in order to participate. Other Info: The race circuit is MSA approved for quality and safety, was established in 1978 and is a founder member of The Association of Racing Drivers' Schools with all instructors being ARDS qualified.
