Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity and it's essential that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If your flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time. Duration: Your experience will last for up to 60 minutes including 30 minutes flying time. All flight times are approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration. Numbers On Day: Your briefing might be shared. Your flight will be held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch you take off and land. Dress Code: Wear flat-soled shoes. Bring sunblock and a hat in summer. Sunglasses are recommended all year round. Guidelines: From the A31 take the A338 from Ringwood towards Bournemouth. Follow the signs for Bournemouth International Airport (or Hurn Airport). Enter the airfield through the Chapel Gate entrance and follow directions to the Blue Zone, on the North Western side of the airfield from where you can follow the signs. The nearest rail station is Bournemouth, with buses running between the station and airport. Restrictions: Minimum age is 16. Maximum weight is 17 stone. Other Info: Your flying time can count towards a Private Pilot's Licence (PPL). To qualify for a PPL you need 35 hours of dual-control and 10 hours solo flying.
