Saddle up Wild West style with this enjoyable trail riding experience based in the beautiful surroundings of the New Forest. You'll be riding a striking Western Paint horse in a traditional cowboy style - western-style riding is a lot more comfortable and easier to grasp than the traditional English method, and perfect for riding long distances. Expert wranglers will take you away from the burdens of everyday life and into the glorious countryside on a relaxing two hour trail. Your experience will conclude back at the ranch with a barbeque meal and lots of hot coffee.

Availability: Weekends at least once a month between March and October, plus occasional weekdays. Weather: This experience won't be cancelled due to bad weather - if it's raining you're going to get wet! Duration: Your experience can last up to two to three hours (depending on group size on the day). Please aim to arrive early; traffic congestion at Lyndhurst can add considerable time to weekend or holiday journeys. Numbers On Day: There will be a maximum of 12 people riding. Spectators: Spectators must be booked and paid for a minimum of three days in advance, direct with the venue, at £12.50 per person to include the barbecue meal. Please note that they can wave you off but they won't be able to see most of the riding. Dress Code: Dress for the weather. Bring a long-sleeved top and wear long trousers and sturdy boots or shoes with a small heel (no trainers or flat shoes). If you have a riding hat please bring it along; if not, one will be provided. Guidelines: From London take the M3 southbound joining the M27 westbound. At junction 2 take A326 towards Hythe. Continue straight over four roundabouts, taking an immediate left onto the slip road. At the traffic lights turn right onto A35, towards Lyndhurst. Follow the one way system around Lyndhurst to the A35, signposted Christchurch / Bournemouth. Continue for 8 miles, turning left onto the B3058, New Milton. Burley Villa is 1.5 miles along the B3058. Restrictions: Minimum age 12. Minimum height 5'. Max weight 15 stone. Not suitable for pregnant women or anyone with visual or hearing impairments. Epileptics need a medical declaration signed by their doctor. Any other disabilities must be declared prior to booking. Other Info: All western trails are mixed ability and are conducted at a gentle pace, walk and trot only. Complete beginners welcome. Sorry, but cameras can't be taken on the ride.
