If you yearn for adventure and enjoy being part of a team, then why not invite six friends on this white water rafting charter along the River Tryweryn in Gwynedd, North West Wales. A fully qualified instructor will prepare everyone for the adventure by providingequipment, talking through health and safety rules and demonstrating rafting techniques to ensure everyone feels comfortable before enterng the raft. Get bussed up to the starting point and will do a series of runs, each one offering a new challenge and each one providing a new opportunity to get wet. The River Tryweryn rates as a level 3, meaning medium waves, on the UK's white water rafting grading system.

Availability: Selected Sundays from February to mid October, subject to water releases by the local river authority. Dates fill very quickly; book at least six weeks in advance. Weather: Severe adverse weather conditions or local environmental issues can affect water releases and rafting - MUST call the venue two days prior to the experience to check weather conditions and the latest water release information. Duration: The experience will last for around two hours from initial introduction to debrief. Please arrive a few minutes prior to the start time to sign in and change. Numbers On Day: The raft can hold seven, plus a qualified instructor. A minimum of six rafters is needed on board to balance the raft. Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch from the riverbank. A camera will come in handy. Spectators' safety remains their own responsibility at all times. There are covered facilities and a cafe, but they might not see all of the action from there. Dress Code: Bring swimwear, a towel, a pair of old trainers and a change of clothes. You WILL get wet, but there are hot shower facilities at the venue. Wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets will be provided. You can't wear glasses (contact lenses are OK). Guidelines: From Llangollen follow the A5 to Corwen. Approximately a mile and a half past Corwen, turn left towards Bala along the A494. At Bala turn right towards Trawsfynydd on the A4212. Canolfan Tryweryn is signposted on the left just a mile past Frongoch village. Look out for the brown tourist information signs depicting a kayaker and National Whitewater Centre. Please park in one of the designated car parks and report to reception with your paperwork. Restrictions: Min age is 12. Max chest girth is 49''. No experience necessary but you must be a confident swimmer and fit enough to climb back into the raft if you fall out. Any medical conditions must be declared before booking and venue may test fitness. Other Info: If you have a disability please mention it when you book. It is imperative that you call the venue two days in advance to check that rafting is going ahead. If water release or weather conditions mean that rafting is postponed, you'll be rebooked.
