How about meeting some species you wouldnt normally come across? Animals ranging from primates, penguins, giraffes, big cats and meerkats will give you a unique insight into the life of a keeper at ZSL London Zoo. Up to six of you will be kitted out and assigned a keeper host for the day. After a briefing, expect to carry out a number of duties from mucking out enclosures, preparing food and devising enrichment activities. And of course, feeding and meeting the animals. Refreshments and lunch are all included. At the end of your day take away a t-shirt, certificate and bag for life as souvenirs.

Availability: The experience takes place all year round on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, excluding Christmas Eve, New Years Eve and public holidays. Weather: ZSL London Zoo's keepers work in all conditions so the weather should not affect your experience, although the itinerary may change slightly if conditions are unsuitable for any aspect of the day. Duration: Your experience begins at 8.45am and you can expect to be at the venue for around seven hours, including an hour for lunch. Numbers On Day: Expect to share your experience with up to four other enthusiasts and a qualified zoo keeping host. Spectators: The experience is exclusively for fee paying voucher holders but friends and family can spend the day in the zoo (entry tickets can be purchased from 10am). Dress Code: Wear practical clothes suitable for outdoors in sometimes muddy and mucky conditions, with sturdy shoes or boots. Guidelines: Please arrive at the East Service Gate which is 200 yards from the main entrance of the zoo. Restrictions: Minimum age is 16 with a reasonable level of fitness.
