As much as people love fish, many of us lack the confidence to deal with both the preparation required and how best to cook it. Using a variety of fish you will practice core knife skills and explore a range of cooking methods whilst paying particular attention to the pairing of flavours. The result - a culinary feast to end the day! After a warm welcome on arrival, you will meet your expert cookery teacher who will talk you through the day's programme and what you will be cooking during your lesson. Then it will be your turn to get your apron on and get cooking. What you cook on the day depends on the location you choose, but generally you will cover cooking fresh crabs, filleting round and flat fish, preparing fish stocks and classic fish based sauces, cooking muscles and preparing your own lobster. At the end you will either be able to sit down and sample what you have made over a relaxed meal with the other attendees or take it away to enjoy later. The exact format varies depending on the cookery school and class chosen.

The minimum age is 18 years. Please tell us if you have any food or wine allergies or if you are diabetic. If you have a stomach upset, you must not attend but you may be able to re-book subject to obtaining a doctor's certificate. There are no qualifications required.
