Exclusive - Experience a bygone age of aviation at a special low price. Your lesson will last 15 minutes and during the flight you will be given the opportunity to take the controls if you wish. This nostalgic flying experience is the only way to really appreciate the freedom of the skies offered by this wonderful classic aircraft, the Tiger Moth. Itinerary: After a briefing on the principles of aviation it's time to don your goggles and flying jacket for a 15 minute flight of a lifetime. All flights are taken by expert pilots who are experienced instructors and all aircraft have dual controls. You will be allowed to fly the plane secure in the knowledge that you have expert assistance. Location: Gloucester, West Sussex, Kent, Northamptonshire, Sussex, Surrey, Devon. Key information: Your voucher is valid for 10 months. At the Gloucestershire location, flights are on weekdays and run all year round except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. At the West Sussex location, flights operate on Sundays only most of the year round - please enquire upon booking regarding winter flight availability. At the Kent and Northamptonshire locations, flights operate from the beginning of April to the end of October on selected days - please enquire upon booking. There is no minimum age requirement but you must be at least 4'11'' tall. The maximum weight is 16 stone. You should be agile as embarking and disembarking is difficult and requires flexibility. Please be advised this experience may not be suitable for persons who are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head injuries, recurrent fainting, giddiness or blackouts, high blood pressure, or heart disease. A model world appears below, familiar landmarks take on new perspectives, whether you are close to the ground viewing wildlife, or up amongst the clouds marvelling at their powdery puffs you will be intrigued by this aerial mystery tour. Itinerary: Having decided upon your preferred location from the list attached, register with your chosen balloon operator and advise them of your availability. The operator will then contact you when there is a promising weather forecast, and a flight is being arranged for your preferred day, to see if you are available. Follow the balloon operator s pre-flight instructions, call for a final weather check the evening prior to your morning flight to ensure the weather is suitable, and be sure to arrive in plenty of time for your flight. Balloons are flown first thing in the morning and last thing in the day from spring to autumn and occasionally throughout the day in winter. Flights last about an hour, the whole experience lasts around three hours. Cameras and videos are welcome so bring plenty of film. *Season runs March to October. Price displayed is PER PERSON. On purchasing this experience you will be sent an open dated gift voucher with 10 months validity. You will be bound by the terms and conditions of the operator. Maximum weight is 16 stone. Most importantly there must be wind speeds of less than 10 mph, reasonable visibility, a stable atmosphere and no rain or snow. Old flat weatherproof shoes or walking boots and comfortable casual walking clothing suitable to the appropriate time of year are recommended as you will take off and land in a field. It is recommended that other garments should be made from natural as opposed to man made fabrics. Ladies are advised to wear trousers. All flights are civil aviation authority certified and regulated.
