Activity Superstore Product Information
Negotiate the rapids using a two man inflatable raft. You'll be met by your guide and kitted up in wetsuits, waterproof jackets, buoyancy aids and helmets. After a whitewater safety brief you'll be introduced to the orca inflatable and your orca paddle partner. Once on the water the calmer sections of the river are used to practice the skills which will be needed later in the day when some of the harder rapids are attempted. The guide will be on the river with the clients to offer advice and instruction throughout the session, however you will be in your own kayak or on the bank. The Orca adventure is the ideal step on from white water rafting and for those looking for a different white water adventure.

Please inform us of any medical conditions or special needs. This activity is not suitable for people with back or joint problems. Rediscover your sense of adventure (and what it's like to be soaked to the skin!) with this white water rafting experience in an inflatable six to eight person raft. You'll start by being kitted out with all the equipment (note: this is not an experience for the style-conscious!), before a full safety briefing and instruction in rafting techniques. Then an experienced guide will take you onto the water for a series of runs down the breathtaking twists, turns and drops of the white water course. Depending on which venue you choose you'll be rafting either on a mighty natural river or a thrilling purpose-built course - either way, it's an adrenaline-fuelled, exhilarating and unforgettable experience.

Availability: Rafting starts in early spring and runs throughout the summer and on into late autumn. In Scotland the main rafting seasons are spring and autumn when the white water is at its peak, in Wales selected Sundays Feb to October. Weekend dates fill quickly - book six to eight weeks in advance.Weather: Rafting will go ahead in most conditions but may be affected by extreme weather conditions or flooding if the rivers are too swollen.Duration: Your session will last for approximately two hours. Thunderous noise, churning water and rapids all around you - this is the unbelievable thrill of white water rafting! Only the strength and determination of you and your team will get you through the rapids. On arrival you will be kitted out with safety equipment. You will then be given a thorough safety briefing and will be professionally looked after by one of the qualified guides before getting onto the river. The water grade varies depending on the location and time of year. After your runs you will return to the centre to change into warm dry clothes. You may be required to help carry the raft and equipment during your experience. Enjoy the thrill of natural white water rapids in the breathtaking setting of the beautiful Scottish Highlands or Welsh mountains. Thunderous noise, churning water and rapids all around you - this is the unbelievable thrill of white water rafting! Only the strength and determination of you and your team will get you through the rapids. On arrival you will be kitted out with safety equipment. You will then be given a thorough safety briefing and will be professionally looked after by one of the qualified guides before getting onto the river. The water grade varies depending on the location and time of year. After your runs you will return to the centre to change into warm dry clothes. You may be required to help carry the raft and equipment during your experience. Please be aware that this activity can be cancelled at short notice due to water levels and this should be kept in mind when booking any overnight accommodation.
Activity Superstore Specification
You must be at least 14 years old to participate in this activity. Please advise us if you have any medical conditions which may affect your activity. White water rafting is not always suitable for contact lenses & glasses wearers. The maximum weight is 95kg (15 stone) and pregnant women should not do this activity. You must be able to swim at least 50 metres and be reasonably fit. Please note that you will be asked to sign a disclaimer prior to the experience.
